This catalogue focuses on a monumental blue-and-white garniture of the Kangxi period comprising five pieces, including three baluster vases with domed covers and two beaker vases. There are only two similar garnitures known to exist in the world, one in the collection of the Zwinger Museum in Dresden and the other in a country house collection in the United Kingdom. Porcelain of this massive size was some of the most complicated and challenging ever manufactured by the Chinese for export.
