Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection Volume 4

Regina Krahl

Title and captions in English and Chinese.

The Meiyintang collection represents one of the finest private collections of Chinese ceramics ever assembled.

Volume Three of the collection catalogue, consisting of two books in a slip case, discusses and illustrates nearly 600 Chinese ceramics from the Neolithic period to the Yuan (1279-1368), many of which are today on display in the Rietberg Museum, Zurich. Volume Four, also consisting of two books in a slip case, covers China’s porcelain production from the Yuan to the Qing dynasty (1644-1911) with some 250 entries. This collection is now dispersed. The 1994 publication of Volumes One and Two of the catalogue, which presented earlier acquisitions, is currently out of print.
